🏦 Wall Street's AI Hiring Spree and the Dawn of AI-Driven Banking

The AI revolution is turning heads in the world of finance, with Wall Street giants like Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan leading the charge.

Financial giants are now harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance everything from client portfolio analyses to risk assessment — but they're also ramping up recruitment in AI-focused roles.

According to data from Evident, about 40% of all open job roles at these banks are now AI-related, and JPMorgan alone has advertised a whopping 3,651 AI-related positions globally just in the span of three months.

And these aren't just experiments anymore — several banks are already using AI to offer personalized investment solutions, while others are using deep learning to provide more tailored recommendations to clients.

This AI wave is reshaping the banking landscape — and soon enough, your personal banking adviser might just be a friendly, super-smart AI.

🩻 Ezra Making Cancer Screening Accessible With AI

Good news for those on the front lines of the battle against cancer.

Say hello to Ezra, a New York-based company whose groundbreaking full-body cancer screening tech is making waves.

Using a blend of MRI imaging and artificial intelligence, Ezra can scan up to 13 organs for potential cancer and even keep an eye out for hundreds of other conditions.

The FDA just greenlit Ezra Flash, an advanced AI layer that not only boosts the speed and quality of scans but also brings costs down.

Right now, a 60-minute scan costs $1,950 — but the new AI tech will cut scan time in half and reduce the cost to $1,350. The eventual goal is a full-body scan that everyone can can access.

Now in operation in several major cities across the US, Ezra is delivering on its promise, already helping detect potential cancer in 13% of their scanned members.

"Ultimately, we think Ezra should be the end-to-end cancer screening platform. We want to make booking your screening as easy as booking an Uber."

🏛️ Biden Chimes in on AI Debate

President Joe Biden stepped into the AI conversation on Thursday, sharing his concerns on the technology “overtaking human thinking” in a speech to graduates of the Air Force Academy.

“Some (scientists) are very worried that AI can actually overtake human thinking in the planet. So we've got a lot to deal with. It's an incredible opportunity, but a lot do deal with."

President Joe Biden

Part of the government’s plans to mitigate the risks of AI include a hefty $140 million initiative for responsible AI innovation announced last month — which includes seven new AI Research Institutes focused on areas like climate change, agriculture, public health and cybersecurity.

And with public discourse heating up following Tuesday’s alarm bells from AI researchers, the calls for government regulation are only growing louder.
