One top headline in the AI space to know:
✍️ AI vs Humans: The Advertising Showdown
The advertising world is about to be turned upside down by AI… And a recent marketing showdown between human and robot showed that day may be coming sooner rather than later.
At the inaugural BrXnd Conference on marketing and AI, an expert panel of marketers barely distinguished between human-created and AI-generated print ads in what they called the “Ad Turing Test”.

Using popular AI tools like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion, AI teams crafted advertisements that scored just as well, and in some cases even better than their human counterparts in terms of creative quality and emotional response.
But, before we all start retraining as data scientists, it's important to remember that AI isn't perfect. It can't yet dodge issues around copyright or bias — that's where we come in! Human touch is still pretty essential in the ad world (for now).
And this isn't some one-off anomaly. Just this week, Google introduced new AI ad capabilities with its “Search Generative Experience”. And companies like Carvana (personalized customer videos) and Spotify (AI-generated podcast ad reads) are already experimenting with how to leverage AI to better engage customers.
Check out a behind-the-scenes look at Carvana’s AI-based customer videos, via @electronicbert on TikTok:

So, while those viral AI beer and pizza ads might paint the tech as a punchline — the truth is, the world of advertising is revving up for a change.
And it's happening faster than you might imagine.

An interesting look at a simpler time — the launch of GPT-1 in 2018:
Most of you probably haven’t read this. Below is OpenAI’s announcement for GPT-1 in Jun 2018.
5 years ago, the dedication to scaling up was already there. The level of foresight was unreal. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
