One top headline in the AI space to know:

💡 Google’s AI Shipping Spree

Yesterday saw another round of impressive announcements from Google on the AI front, with a suite of new features aiming to revolutionize user's digital experience.

A breakdown of the tech giant’s releases on Wednesday:

Google’s new virtual try-on feature is changing the game for online shoppers — utilizing generative AI to let users visualize how garments from popular brands would look on a range of body types and skin tones:

Additionally, a new guided refinements tool can act as a digital shopping associate — helping searchers find the perfect piece with super-charge filtering using machine learning and visual matching algorithms:

Google Lens now ventures into health assistance, offering potential matches for skin, lip, nail, and hair conditions using images taken by users.

While it doesn't replace a doctor's diagnosis, it should provide a helping hand for the over 10 billion skin condition queries Google receives yearly.

Google's new immersive view feature brings a multi-dimensional perspective to Google Maps, using AI to weave together billions of images. Freshly expanded to four new cities, it's now easier than ever to plan your next visit to Amsterdam, Dublin, Florence, or Venice — with views of over 500 global landmarks in the works.

Lastly, the Search Generative Experience (SGE) debuted in May now enhances travel search results with chatbot-style answers to users' detailed questions about destinations — rather than just providing links to other sources.

While OpenAI, Meta, and other industry giants continue to battle for AI supremacy — Google’s ability to integrate artificial intelligence into its suite of widely-used apps is still proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
