One top headline in the AI space to know:

āš™ļø OpenAI Launches Custom Instructions

Remember the days of having to start every ChatGPT conversation from scratch? Repeating the same instructions in every session?

Our struggles may be finally in the past after OpenAIā€™s new Custom Instructions feature launched on Thursday:

With this new feature, ChatGPT can now learn to follow your personal instructions and remember your preferences across conversations ā€” without having to constantly remind or restart a string of thoughts.

The feature, now available for Plus plan users and rolling out to all soon, comes in response to feedback from users in over 22 countries. And the move also coincides with another quality-of-life upgrade ā€” OpenAI doubling the amount of messages Plus users can send to GPT4 (now increased to 50 / 3 hours).

It's also not just the conversations getting smarter ā€” the new feature also enhances the utility of plugins.

Specified in your instructions that you live in San Francisco, and decide to use restaurant reservation plugin? Now, the AI will consider this information, making your workflow that much more intuitive.

If youā€™re a Plus user and curious how to enable this new feature, we made a quick walkthrough (having to ā€˜turn onā€™ a beta feature isnā€™t always readily apparent):
